Who wouldn’t be?! Kayaks and sailboats are big, bulky, lightweight for their proportions, and their material is pretty soft. They arrive damaged even to us at the shop. When you combine them on a truck with assorted goods and multiple stops and exchanges, the likelihood for damage increases and the ability to hold the guilty party accountable decreases. That means, a beat up boat at your door, a dealer who says “it was fine when it left us” and drivers who all point to someone else and say “He did it!” Sounds like a big headache.

We completely agree. In fact, that very likely scenario kept us OUT of the direct shipment game until now. Our way is different. We have networked with enough private carriers to arrange for door to door service for your kayak. Accountability is tight. Upon selecting your kayak, you have options! Text us. By us, I mean Heather and Andrew. We own the shop, run the shop; we are your friendly neighborhood small craft experts. Even if you aren’t in the neighborhood, trust me, we’ll still be friendly.
