School’s out early! Let’s go fishing! Youth ages 10 to 14 are invited to join Trusty Sail & Paddle for an afternoon of fishing fun with the aid of our pedal kayaks, perfect for angling in hard-to-reach creeks and coves! As conditions allow, we will fish aboard our kayaks, on nearby piers, and along the Sugarloaf Island shoreline. Participants must arrive between 12:00pm and 1:00pm, with pickup by 5:30pm. Registered youth will be supervised and assisted by Trusty Sail & Paddle staff for the duration of the event, and program destinations will be communicated upon arrival.
All equipment, including fishing rods, bait and tackle, pedal kayaks, a backup paddle, and a personal flotation device, and a snack, are included in the $80 cost of registration. The next two sessions of Catch & Early Release are scheduled for Friday, April 19th, and Friday, May 3rd, in accordance with the Carteret County Public School Calendar, meeting at the Trusty Sail & Paddle Waterfront Booking Station at 815 Shepard Street in Morehead City, by the Morehead City Transient Docks.
